Safe and Save Rentals – General Terms and Conditions for Rental

1. Fuel is to be paid for by the renter.

2. The renter must pay a deposit of ANG 500.00 in cash in advance (ANG 1000 if driving license is less than 3 years old). Unless agreed otherwise, the rental fee must also be paid in cash. This prepayment, including the deposit, will be used to cover the rental fee, deductible, and any other costs for which the renter is liable. The deductible deposit will only be settled once the vehicle is returned. If the renter fails to pay the required amount on time, statutory interest plus 2% annually will be charged on the outstanding amount. If payment remains outstanding after a reminder, collection costs will be added.

3. The rental dates are binding once the reservation is finalized (after payment is received). The renter is obliged to pay for the full agreed rental period, even if the car is picked up late or returned early.

4. The car is third-party and passenger (W.A. and P.O.I.) insured. Any damage to the rental vehicle due to accident, theft, burglary, or vandalism will be charged to the renter. Third-party damages will be covered by insurance minus the deductible of ANG 500 (ANG 1000 if license < 3 years). This deductible applies per incident and will be charged to the renter. If the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of damage, all costs will be fully recovered from the renter.

5. All-risk insurance is optional. It includes third-party, passenger, and comprehensive coverage. Deductibles: ANG 500 (ANG 1000 if license < 3 years) per incident for both own and third-party damage. However, if the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, all damages (including those not covered under the policy) will be charged to the renter.

6. If damage is caused by reckless driving, speeding, intent, gross negligence, or driving under the influence, the renter will be held fully liable for all damages.

7. Unless agreed otherwise, the renter must pick up the vehicle from the rental office. A valid driving license is required. The renter must return the vehicle on the agreed date and time, in the same condition (normal wear and tear excepted). Late return without an approved extension will incur ANG 30.00 per extra hour. Early return does not entitle the renter to a refund.

8. If the vehicle is not returned within the agreed period, the rental continues under the same conditions until it is returned. The renter may be charged daily or hourly fees as deemed appropriate by the rental company.

9. During the rental period, the renter bears all operational costs such as fuel, parking, and cleaning.

10. Only the person listed in the rental contract (with name and license number) may drive the vehicle.

11. The vehicle includes passenger insurance. The renter indemnifies the rental company for any damages to passengers or third parties.

12. The renter also indemnifies the rental company from any fines or penalties incurred during the rental period, unless caused by a pre-existing vehicle defect.

13. The rental company may terminate the agreement immediately if the renter fails to meet obligations, passes away, is placed under guardianship, files for bankruptcy, or if other serious circumstances arise. In such cases, the vehicle must be returned immediately. The rental company has the right to retrieve the vehicle and charge costs to the renter.

14. The renter must regularly check oil, water, and tire pressure. Negligence resulting in damage will be charged to the renter. A flat tire must be repaired at the renter’s cost (~ANG 15). A flat or missing spare tire upon return will incur a ANG 350 charge. If the tire is irreparable, the renter must replace it and notify the rental company immediately.

15. If the vehicle becomes undrivable due to a defect, replacement transport will be provided only if available. Other costs or consequential damages will not be reimbursed. No liability is accepted for damaged cargo.

16. If the renter is not at fault in an accident, they may receive a replacement car or a refund for unused rental days.

17. The renter confirms the vehicle was received without visible damage, unless otherwise recorded. In case of damage or defects during the rental, the renter must notify the rental company immediately during office hours. Call 6857550 for breakdowns.

18. Do not drive in Christoffel Park or off-road. Damages to engine or bodywork from off-road driving will be fully charged to the renter.

19. In case of an accident, the renter must: Immediately notify the rental company and call Road Service Forensys (9233); Call the police (911) if needed; Follow all instructions from the rental company; Submit a signed accident report within 24 hours; Avoid admitting fault; Secure the vehicle properly and hand over all documentation received; If towing is needed, call roadside assistance (9–24–7) and inform the rental company.

20. The vehicle may not be used or driven: By anyone without a valid license or not listed in the contract; By anyone under the influence or with impairments; For commercial transport, illegal purposes, racing, or towing other vehicles.

21. The renter may not overload the vehicle.
22. Normal wear and tear costs are the responsibility of the rental company.

23. Cars with an alarm system must have the alarm activated at all times.

24. If the car is delivered clean, it must be returned clean. Otherwise, ANG 50 will be charged.

25. Use only super fuel (yellow pump). Return the car with the same fuel level as upon delivery. Differences of 1/8 tank will be charged at ANG 12.50 per 1/8.

26. Parking at Mambo Beach is discouraged.

27. If the car has a removable radio front, it must be taken out when leaving the vehicle. Damage due to theft from not removing it will be charged to the renter.

28. Lost accessories will be charged as follows: Steering wheel lock: ANG 50, Jack: ANG 50, Wheel lock: ANG 50, Wheel wrench: ANG 50, Spare tire: ANG 350.

29. The renter may not transfer, loan, or sell the vehicle.

30. Invalidity of any clause does not affect the validity of the rest of the agreement. All breach-related costs are the renter’s responsibility.


31. The rental company may place advertisements on the vehicle with the renter’s consent.

32. Curaçao law applies. Any disputes shall be resolved by the court in Willemstad, Curaçao.
